NZ529260 is the new EP from break_fold, on the Yorkshire-based analog horizons label, released Friday 3rd November 2023.

Bradford-based, break_fold (aka Tim Hann) has received strong support from BBC 6 Music DJs Gideon Coe and Steve Lamacq for previous singles Meanwhile.. Up in Trump Tower, Variant and This Was Forever, as he builds on his success with his ongoing partnership with analog horizons.

Opening track 'The Morning Commute' depicts stages of an old commute, broken down into distinct parts with the tempo of the drums representing twice daily stress levels, from home to work and back again.

‘Seal Sands’ takes form via the artist's youth, with the title referring to an area near his hometown of Hartlepool. The area is heavily industrialised, whilst also being a biological site of special interest, and this dichotomy finds its place in the track. Wandering melodies slither between heavy drum sets, teetering between the future and the past.

Great record. wears it's influences proudly ..but retains a sliver of identity that is uniquely British and has a northern feel to it..I think that these geographic musical vignettes are realy evocotive of northern Newtown Uber estates and satellite communities..I hope this translates to a wider audience for him...he deserves the attention. give him his due .NOW . christopherogley
